Just started drawing in January this year after a lifetime of thinking i couldn't. Really enjoy drawing and looking to improve and try new styles of art.

Ok i know it is not a lot, but the fact that 523 times somebody has taken the time to click onto my page and look at my art, means a lot to me!! Haven't been very active on here lately that is because my 6 year old daughter persuaded me to draw christmas cards for the family, and that they should be Winnie the Pooh cards!!. Quite a departure from my portraits but it has been great fun and finally got to play around with my inktense pencils. Fun to play with my daughter too, i would do 1 card and she would aks if she could have that one to colour in, which then meant i had to replace that card. Lost track of how many time i have drawn Pooh Be

So someone posted a comment on one of my pictures. They said the proportions were off and if i made a few changes to my picture my subject would be a "gorgeus woman". The same person also wrote if i altered the lighting of a picture of an elephant we could see more detail. The problem is these drawings did not come from my imagination, but from photographs. The woman i drew is a real person. The proportions were right, that's just how she looks ( and although i am a happily married man i would like to defend the honour of my subject and say that i think she is gorgeous just as I drew her). Going on holiday soon, so i thought i'd try and see if i could do some landscape drawings, but i don't really want to take a load of equipment with me, but i found this Sketching wallet by Derwent.  http://www.derwentshop.co.uk/servlet/the-1969/Sketching-Wallet/Detail                   It has everything in it pencils, pad eraser and sharperner. I knew it has pencils it in. All in a nice case so i can just grab the case and go!! but what was a nice suprise when i opened it is that it isn't just the normal pencil you would expect there are also some tinted charcoal, and some water soluble pencil and a blender pencils,. So i am looking forward
